About the Position

Cowra Council is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and suitably qualified person to fill the position of Team Leader - Horticulturalist within our Parks & Gardens Section.

Primarily responsible in assisting the Parks & Gardens Section to operate in an effective and efficient manner by overseeing the day to day operations and activities of the horticulture team to ensure the maintenance of public garden facilities and parklands meet adopted standards and are within financial limits.

Reporting directly to the Supervisor - Parks & Gardens, the successful applicant will oversee all horticultural activities.  It is preferred that the successful applicant holds a current MR Driver Licence.  Applicants must possess Horticulture qualifications and have demonstrated relevant industry experience with an ability to operate plant and machinery associated with the role.

The successful applicant should be physically fit and understand the importance of WHS and EEO. A ‘can do’ work ethic, strong organisational skills and ability to work positively within a team are essential.
