About the Position
Cowra Council is seeking highly motivated and a suitably qualified and experienced applicant to fill a Plant Operator role within the Roads division of Council.
The position of Plant Operator is primarily responsible for the safe driving and operation of Council's plant items in an effective and efficient manner within the guidelines of the Motor Traffic Act, Work Health and Safety Act and Council policies and standards. The position is responsible for contributing to the delivery of the Roads Works Program and allocated projects within time and budget constraints.
The successful applicants must have relevant experience in civil construction or maintenance, possess at a minimum Heavy Rigid Driver Licence along with a combination of Front End Loader, Backhoe, Skid Steer, Excavator, Roller & Grader competencies/tickets. Applicants must be physically fit and understand the importance of WHS and EEO. A ‘can do’ work ethic and ability to work positively within a team are essential.
